Weidemann : 50 years of Hoftrac
The small and compact Hoftrac from Weidemann is celebrating its birthday
- for over 50 years, the compact and manoeuvrable loaders have been
proving their worth nationally and internationally in agriculture, on
horse farms, in horticulture and in municipalities, as well as
increasingly in the commercial sector and in the hotel, event and
tourism industries.
From the first prototypes, which were still designed
as simple three-wheel loaders, the brothers Reinhold and Oswald
Weidemann developed a small, articulated wheel loader - the Hoftrac. As
a manoeuvrable, powerful, very flexible and extremely compact machine,
the "Perfekt 130" model was the first Hoftrac to go into series
production in 1974.
The start of series production opened up a completely new market segment
for the entire agricultural machinery sector. From then on, it was
effortlessly possible to drive into smaller or low barn buildings to
carry out feeding and manure removal work by machine instead of by hand.
In combination with a wide range of attachments, the Weidemann Hoftrac
is now a versatile and flexible helper in everyday working life, with
which a wide variety of tasks can be carried out effortlessly. To mark
the anniversary, Weidemann will be organising an anniversary offer, a
competition and other activities.
