Saputo Dairy UK announces increase in milk price it pays to its Davidstow farmers
Saputo Dairy UK (SDUK) has announced that it will increase the milk price it pays to its Davidstow farmers by a further 2ppl to 38ppl* from 1 April 2022. This has been agreed with Davidstow Creamery Direct (DCD).
“We recognise the pressures that our farmers continue to face which is why we remain committed to paying them a leading, and importantly, transparent milk price,” said Alexa Parker, Head of Milk Procurement.
Stephen Bone, Chairman of DCD, commented, “We are pleased that Saputo continue to work closely with DCD, understanding the extremely challenging times we are all facing across the industry.”
Muller has also announced an increase its milk price by 1.5ppl for April. Their dairy farmers who meet the conditions for Muller Advantage will receive 36.5ppl from April 1 2022.
Barbers and Wyke farms have also announced price increases.
