A study which used US farm data to examine changes in agricultural biodiversity over the past 30 years has revealed a reduction in the range of crop types on farmland that researchers say could have serious implications for the health of both agro-ecosystems and the wider environment, and may make agriculture more susceptible to the effects of climate change.
