Cereals partners with R.A.B.I
The Cereals Event is delighted to announce a partnership with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I). Starting in March 2016, the organisations will work together to promote the charitable endeavours of the R.A.B.I – both how to support the charity, and how the farming community can benefit from the welfare services offered by the charity.
“We feel enormously privileged to be able to showcase the great impact that the R.A.B.I has on the agricultural community”, says Jon Day, Cereals Event Director, “they offer a vital lifeline to those facing hardship, from recent flooding to long term medical care. We hope that our visitors and exhibitors will support the R.A.B.I at both events.”
Being the charitable partner with Cereals will see the R.A.B.I logo appearing on all publications, but more than that will be their opportunity to engage with the 25,000 visitors. In the first two months of 2016, R.A.B.I has helped 23 farmers and their families who were affected by the recent flooding across the North West and this number is set to rise over the year.
Suzie Deely, Corporate Development Manager at R.A.B.I comments, “R.A.B.I is thrilled to be working with Cereals in 2016. Every year hundreds of new people ask R.A.B.I for help because of things such as illness, accidents, animal disease, family breakdown or extreme weather. Last year we gave out £1.9 million in grants to farming people and our work is funded primarily by donations and money raised at events arranged by our county committees of volunteers. Working with Cereals 2016 will help us to raise awareness about what we do and we look forward to an exciting and successful partnership.”
