Carter Jonas Appoints Lucy George as Head of Sustainability
Carter Jonas has appointed Lucy George as Head of Sustainability as the firm continues to advance its Net Zero ambitions and embed sustainability across its operations and services.
Lucy will lead the development of the firm's sustainability agenda, both internally and externally. Her remit will span operational sustainability, strategy and client-facing advisory work, ensuring that environmental performance and commercial value are aligned throughout the firm and beyond.
Lucy's appointment reflects Carter Jonas' continued investment in sustainable practice as a strategic priority. She will work closely with senior leadership in overseeing the next phase of progress, supporting Carter Jonas's goal of achieving measurable and lasting impact across its diverse portfolio of projects and sectors.
Based in York, Lucy joined Carter Jonas seven years ago and has built extensive experience as a Senior Specialist in the national Natural Capital Services team, advising private and public landowners and supporting developers on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). In her new role, this Natural Capital expertise sits alongside a full sustainability remit, ensuring these approaches are integrated into Carter Jonas' strategy and client advisory offering.
