NSA Sheep Event: the industry's must-attend event

NSA Sheep Event is now just a matter of days away!

As the flagship event of the NSA, it promises to be a standout day for everyone involved in the sheep sector, bringing together farmers, breeders, industry experts, trade exhibitors and rural businesses for a packed programme of learning, innovation and inspiration.

From the moment gates open, the day will be packed with opportunities to learn, discuss and take part.

Early visitors can start with NSA Breakfast Club Live at 9am, including a conversation with Defra Farming Minister Stephen Morgan MP, Phil Stocker and NSA Chairman Pete Delbridge, followed by debate on policy, promises and the future of farming with a panel from Farmers Weekly, Farmers Guardian, consultancy and Daera.

The seminar programme will tackle some of the biggest questions facing the sheep sector. Topics include bridging farmer consumer priorities for the future of farming, making the most of multifunctional sheep systems and unlocking our market potential. A full timetable of activity, including all seminars can be found here.

For those looking for practical take-home advice, the workshops offer a strong mix of technical and business insight. Sessions will cover topics including sheep dip disposal innovation, maximising forage for better sheep performance, productivity and profit, resilience and sustainability in British sheep farming, sheep lameness control and practical tools for improving ewe efficiency.

Demonstrations will bring the event to life throughout the day, from working collies, Welsh sheep dogs, Kelpies and Huntaways in the main ring to body condition scoring, faecal egg counting, electric fencing, mobile watering solutions, bolus demonstrations, butchery and cookery sessions.

Competitions will also add excitement, with the national final of the  Next Generation Shepherd competition, National Young Stars competition, fleece competition and Tornado fencing competition all showcasing skill, enthusiasm and talent from across the industry.

Whether you are interested in policy, innovation, practical advice, networking opportunities, ideas you can take back to your farm or simply seeing the sheep industry at its best, NSA Sheep Event 2026 offers something for everyone.
