Wyndford Wagyu Sells Two Record-Breaking Heifers to Leading US Ranch

Wyndford Wagyu has announced the record-breaking sale of two of its most elite heifers to Black Jack Ranch in the United States – marking a significant moment for British Wagyu genetics on the global stage.

The heifers, known as 412M and 413M, are officially ranked the #1 and #2 Wagyu females in the USA and are among the most genetically elite females in the world herd. The sale represents a major milestone for Wyndford Wagyu and enhances the breeder's international reputation for producing animals of exceptional quality.

The heifers were sold as part of a high-profile US auction, with bidders offered their pick between the two. Both animals are based in Minnesota and are eligible for unrestricted OPU (Ovum Pick-Up) collection – a valuable asset for breeding operations seeking to expand elite genetics. Fertility is fully guaranteed through either a first calf or successful embryo collection.

"We're thrilled to see our genetics make such an impact in the US," said Jess Edwards, Wyndford's Commercial Director and newly appointed member of the Board of Directors at the British Wagyu Association. "It's a great endorsement not only of our herd, but of the calibre of Wagyu being raised here in the UK."

"The hammer went down at $215K and the winning bidder decided to sweep the ring and take both females at double the price," she added.
