Wyndford Wagyu Secures Distribution With Aubrey Allen

Wyndford Wagyu, the award-winning, 100% fullblood Japanese wagyu producer, has secured its first major distribution partnership with renowned fine food wholesaler Aubrey Allen.

Established in 1933, Aubrey Allen is a third-generation family business led by siblings Russell and Lucianne Allen, who share Wyndford Wagyu’s dedication to sourcing ethically and delivering superior produce to the catering industry.

As part of the new partnership, Aubrey Allen, regarded as the ‘chef’s butcher’, will be stocking the full range of cuts ,each offering a unique taste experience, including the Denver steak, the heel of beef and the flat iron as well as the more known cuts such as ribs and fillets.

Wagyu, originating in Japan, is one of the most revered delicacies, and its popularity has steadily risen in the Western world in recent years. In Japan, distinct regions are renowned for producing wagyu meat, each bearing the name of the area where the cattle are raised, grown, and finished.

Wyndford Wagyu has the UK’s largest full-blood wagyu herd. The cattle are bred and raised with utmost care in Shropshire on a farm that prioritises animal welfare and ethical, sustainable, and regenerative farming practices. Its quality wagyu beef was recently recognised at the prestigious Great Taste Awards, with its Denver Steak awarded the coveted 3-star accolade and Sirloin Steak earning a 1-star seal of approval.

Jess Edwards, commercial director at Wyndford Wagyu, said: “Our partnership with Aubrey Allen means we can expand our reach and introduce our award-winning wagyu to some of the most esteemed chefs and restaurateurs across the country.

“This partnership enhances our distribution capabilities and allows more consumers to experience the unique taste of genuine 100% wagyu beef.”

Lucianne Allen, Director at Aubrey Allen, added: “Aubrey Allen is synonymous with premium quality meat products, just like Shropshire-based producers Wyndford Wagyu. Wagyu has increased in popularity, and we’re excited to offer our clients unparalleled access to the finest cuts from a producer that takes such pride in its herd.

“Already we’ve received glowing feedback, with Alain Roux describing Wyndford as incredible - all the depth of flavour of Japanese wagyu, but from here in England.”

Recently, Wyndford Wagyu and Aubrey Allen hosted a farm day in Newport, Shropshire. The industry’s elite were treated to a tour of the farm where the team raise the 400-head herd of cattle, before tasting marble score 13 wagyu, straight off the BBQ, cooked by chef Adam Purnell (@Shropshire.lad). Guests also had a chance to learn about eye muscle grading and enjoyed a butchery demonstration with Aubrey Allen’s champion butcher Michael Perkins.
