The higher price reflects continuing strength in commodity markets and the company’s need to maintain its competitive positioning so that it can secure the supplies required to meet customer demand over the winter period.

In an environment characterised by strong commodity values, higher on-​farm production costs and competition for milk supply, Wiseman has now increased its milk price by more than 4ppl since May 2010.

The company has also confirmed to Wiseman Milk Group producers some contractual adjustments to milk composition and quality which bring it more closely into line with the requirements of the business.
