Wensleydale Creamery Signs Dales Butter Tesco Distribution Deal
The Wensleydale Creamery, producers of the famous Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, has boosted distribution of its newly launched Dales Butter, securing a listing in Tesco stores.
Dales Butter, which complements The Wensleydale Creamery’s current award winning cheese range, will be sold in 89 Tesco stores across Yorkshire and Humberside from 12th November 2012.
Based at Hawes, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, the Wensleydale Creamery is using its dairy expertise along with milk supplied by local Dales farming families to produce Dales Butter.
Traditionally churned from fresh Wensleydale cream, Dales Butter, aims to provide consumers with a quality premium alternative. Wrapped in stylish black packaging, the smooth and creamy 250g packs of butter will be sold in select Tesco stores across Yorkshire and Humberside.
David Hartley, Managing Director of The Wensleydale Creamery, said: “Demand from the market and our customers for a regional butter prompted us to develop Dales Butter, which has already been a great success within its first three months.
“We are delighted to announce Dales Butter will now be available in 89 Tesco stores, making it easily available to both our loyal customers across the region.

The Yorkshire cheesemaker launched Dales Butter at Great Yorkshire Show in July this year, which is now currently sold through independent retailers across the region as well as, its Visitor Centre, at The Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes and now Tesco stores.
