Dairy nutrition company, Volac, has announced the acquisition of ECOSYL Products Ltd, the UK based silage additive market leader with subsidiaries in USA and Canada.

The acquisition will strengthen Volac’s current position in the UK market place as well as expand its business internationally across much of Europe and North America.

Volac’s sales and marketing director, David Neville comments: “We are pleased to make this announcement of what is a very exciting development for both companies. The deal, which will also include ECOSYL’s subsidiary Rosebeck Services, will see the North Yorkshire based laboratory and manufacturing facilities come under control by Volac too.

The acquisition provides the integrated business with a significant opportunity to be the leading global supplier of silage additives and supports Volac’s position as a leading specialist in advancing livestock productivity.”

Dr Andy Beardsmore will take up a key role within the Volac team to develop ECOSYL’s international sales and lead the company’s silage additive research and development portfolio.
