The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has said it “can no longer support” the government’s trial badger culls. Delivering a blow to supporters of the controversial policy, BVA said the government’s ‘controlled shooting’ of free-running badgers has not been effective or humane enough to warrant vets’ continued support.
