Shortly after new evidence published in the journal Nature provided more compelling links between neonicotinoid pesticides and ill-effects on wild bee populations, campaigners in the United States urged an investigation into alleged harassment of scientists whose work could help build up a clearer picture of the threats insect pollinators face.
