An untrained nine-week-old sheepdog has become the world's most expensive puppy after selling for £7,600 at an auction the Daily Mail has reported.
Lassie smashed the record for an untrained pup at a sale of elite sheepdogs in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
She was born on March 12 in Wales on the farm of Glynne Jones, from Pentir, near Bangor in Gwynedd, who was struck by her unusual lilac colour.
Her sale beat the previous world record of £6,100 for an 11-week-old black and white puppy. Damian Barson became the new owner of the record breaking pup.
