Tillage Live will go ahead despite weather

Despite the torrential rain seen at the beginning of the week, the organisers of Tillage Live in Haddington have announced the event will go ahead as planned.

Speaking on behalf of the organisers AEA, Duncan Russell confirmed that Tillage Live will still take place on Wednesday 3rd October at Westfield, Haddington, East Lothian. He said on Friday (28th September), “Having kept in very close contact with the farmer, we can confirm that the site is in good condition and that Tillage Live will proceed as planned with a strong line up.”

Tickets for the event are still available from the Tillage-Live Website at £7.50 per car (£10 per car on the day).

The organisers have said attendees can gain 4 NRoSO & 4 BASIS points by attending the Tillage Live knowledge Trail. This year, the Trail includes:

  • Effective and economical weed control
  • Best practice on sprayer and container cleaning
  • Best practice on pelleting
  • Focus on soil structure
  • Controlled Traffic Farming
  • Autosteer and guidance systems in practice
