The new AMAZONE Teres 300 Onland mounted reversible plough

AMAZONE is now offering the Teres 300 mounted reversible plough for on-land ploughing. The new model offers a quick and easy changeover between conventional in-furrow and on-land operation, thereby offering a high degree of flexibility. In a choice of 5 or 6 furrows, the new plough models are designed for tractors up to 300 hp.

 

Onland ploughing for soil-friendly and efficient working

On-land ploughing offers particular advantages, especially for tractors that have wider tyres or are on tracks. Large tyres often do not have enough space in the furrow and can cause compaction by running over the loosened soil. Driving out of the furrow reduces ground pressure and helps to preserve the soil structure. At the same time, water infiltration and soil aeration are improved, thereby creating favourable conditions for root growth. Modern GPS guidance systems facilitate accurate working.

 

Precise and convenient adjustment from the cab

Switching between in-furrow and on-land operation is carried out easily from the cab via the parallelogram adjustment centre. The furrow width and the front furrow can be hydraulically adjusted just as easily. This means that the plough can be adapted to varying operating conditions without any complications.

Another feature is the AutoAdapt automatic front furrow adjustment system. It ensures clean matching from bout to bout, even if the overall furrow width is adjusted, and helps to maintain an even finish.

 

SpeedBlade plough bodies for reduced wear

A central feature of the Teres 300 Onland is the SpeedBlade plough body with its patented extra-large front shin ahead of the mouldboard. The main wear point of the SpeedBlade plough body is concentrated on the enlarged front shin of the mouldboard and not back on the main part of the slatted or solid mouldboard, even at high forward speeds. This means that only the worn front shin of the mouldboard needs to be replaced to begin with. This reduces wear costs compared with conventional plough bodies.

 

Robust design and sophisticated technology
The Teres 300 Onland features a solid beam measuring 150 x 150 x 8.8 mm. The design combines high rigidity with a comparatively low own weight. The bearing-mounted ProtectShaft cross-shaft with integrated lower link balls ensures low wear and high durability. The pivot bearings also have a dampening effect and protect the plough on the headland and when driving on the road.

The furrow width of many ploughs when set at large working widths has to be reduced before turning, in order to increase ground clearance. In contrast, the Teres is swivelled out via the front furrow cylinder before the turning process begins. The furrow width remains unchanged and wear on the plough components is avoided.

Depending on the operating conditions, overload protection is provided either mechanically by a shear bolt or via hydraulic cylinders. The release force can be easily adjusted in the hydraulic version. The plough body automatically returns to its working position once an obstacle has been passed.
