Experts from across the UK and Ireland will gather at Aberystwyth University this week to explore the latest developments in TB policy, control and eradication strategies across the UK and Ireland.

Among the speakers at this year’s AberTB conference will be:

·        Llyr Gruffydd MS – Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability

·        Dr Richard Irvine – Chief Veterinary Officer for Wales

·        Ele Brown, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer for national, domestic and exotic diseases, Defra

·        Professor Glyn Hewinson – Director of the Sêr Cymru Centre of Excellence for Bovine TB.

The Sêr Cymru Centre of Excellence for Bovine Tuberculosis at Aberystwyth University was established in 2018 with the aim to provide a strong scientific evidence base to support the eradication of the disease and to grow and develop academic research expertise in Wales.
