Syngenta launch new IZM based wheat fungicide
14 Febraury 2011
Syngenta announce the approval of their new winter wheat fungicide SEGURIS. Combining the new active ingredient isopyrazam (IZM) with its’ unique double-binding properties and epoxiconazole. Syngenta believe that Seguris will become a significant product in the UK wheat fungicide market and an excellent tool for UK wheat growers.
The launch of Seguris follows on from the introduction of IZM into barley in 2010 with the successful launch of Bontima, a combination of IZM and cyprodinil. Many barley growers were able to benefit from the yield building potential of this new chemistry in 2010. Syngenta are now able to offer wheat growers the same opportunity this year, particularly at a time when the yield benefits of Seguris will deliver so much value into growers pockets.
