Strutt & Parker attracts four senior hires to Rural team
Strutt & Parker is pleased to announce a series of new senior appointments to its Rural team, as part of the latest phase of its growth strategy. Ian Ashbridge, Alice Rawdon-Mogg, Mark Stephenson and Alastair Deighton have joined the business in recent weeks.
Ian Ashbridge is a chartered surveyor and valuer with extensive experience in providing strategic consultancy to farms and estates, alongside practical farm management advice and agronomy services. He has joined as a director in the Cambridge office after a period as Estates & Farm Manager on a 3,500-acre private estate in Cambridgeshire. He previously worked at Bidwells for more than 13 years, latterly as the head of Agriculture & Environment.
Alice Rawdon-Mogg has been appointed as a director in the Perth office. She has recently relocated to Scotland, after working for Savills in Salisbury for more than a decade, and prior to that for Smiths Gore. In her role at Savills, she was responsible for managing all aspects of a privately owned estate in Dorset, while also providing strategic consultancy advice to other private landowners. In addition, she managed the rural portfolio of a large institutional landowner – delivering a range of diversification, social value and nature recovery projects.
Alastair Deighton has joined the Rural team in Lewes as a Senior Associate Director. After an early career in the Royal Navy, he has built up 20 years' experience of managing diverse estates for institutional and private landowners in his previous roles with Savills and Smiths Gore. During that period, he worked on several commercial and residential development projects, as well as significant initiatives to enhance and diversify income streams.
Meanwhile, Mark Stephenson, a chartered minerals surveyor, with an alternative designation as a chartered environmental surveyor, has been appointed as a director based in the Exeter office, but with a remit to operate nationally. He joins from Bruton Knowles where he was lead for minerals and waste projects and has more than three decades' experience working in the minerals and environmental sectors. He is experienced in working on valuations, environmental assessments including due diligence, the management of sites and overseeing remediation works of brownfield sites.
Kate Moisson, Head of Rural for Strutt & Parker, says: "At a time when the rural sector is facing significant change, these senior appointments will further strengthen our talented team of Rural experts. Ian, Alice and Alastair are all hugely experienced estate managers, with the ideas, skills and expertise to deliver insightful and impactful advice to clients. Mark's specialist knowledge in the minerals and environmental management sectors, will also help us to uncover new opportunities on behalf of landowners. We are thrilled that they have chosen to join Strutt & Parker as we enter the next phase of our growth strategy."
The appointments form part of a wider strategic investment programme in Strutt & Parker, supported by shareholders BNP Paribas Group. The business has recently unveiled a significant rebrand and is also investing in a new website and national office refurbishment programme. Other recent appointments include Natalie Gaibani who was confirmed as Head of Farming at the start of 2026.
