Strive and thrive at the NSA Sheep Farmers’ Conference 2025
The National Sheep Association (NSA) is delighted to welcome delegates to the NSA Sheep Farmers’ Conference 2025, returning on Tuesday 18th November at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, Yorkshire. The event will bring together sheep producers, policy voices and industry experts for a day of thought-provoking debate, practical learning and inspiration.
This year’s theme, ‘Strive and thrive: Building profit and resilience in sheep farming’, will be explored through keynote sessions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities, giving farmers fresh ideas and strategies to strengthen their businesses.
The pogramme will be opened with a seminar discussing the likely outcomes of Defra’s forthcoming Profitability Review. NSA is thrilled to be joined by Baroness Minette Batters for the session, who, in conversation with a panel of sheep farmers from across the UK, will consider what the results could mean in practice for the future of sheep farming. The session promises frank discussion, diverse perspectives and grounded, practical insights.
A further highlight of the day will be an afternoon seminar with AHDB, who will share insights and key messages from the levy board’s successful Roots to Resilience programme. Farmers from across the North of England and Scotland will join the discussion to share their own experiences of improving business planning, goal-setting and efficiency for a more profitable future.
Alongside the main seminars, the conference will feature short industry workshops, including from main event sponsor Shearwell, plus trade stands, expert advice and valuable networking opportunities over lunch. CPD points will also be available for industry professionals.
Whether you run a hill flock, a lowland enterprise or something in between, the conference is designed to offer fresh perspectives on shared challenges and opportunities.
NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker says: “The NSA Sheep Farmers’ Conference 2025 will be more than just a meeting of minds, it will be a chance to pause, take stock and step forward with renewed focus. For anyone looking to not only survive but thrive in the years ahead, join us at Harrogate in November. We look forward to seeing you there.”
NSA members benefit from a discounted ticket rate of £60 plus VAT, which includes all refreshments and a delicious hot buffet lunch. Non member tickets are available for £80 plus VAT. For more details on the programme and to book tickets, visit: www.nationalsheep.org.uk/events.
