The Rural Payments Agency this morning announced that proposed strike actions in the public sector on Wednesday will likely affect its services.

"We won’t know the extent of the industrial action until Wednesday; however indications are that the CSC will continue to offer a limited service. While we will try to answer as many queries as we can there are alternatives until things return to normal. "

The RPA said cattle farmers using the British Cattle Movement Service will still be able to use the Cattle Tracing System Online service and the self-service telephone line, on 0845 011 1212, to apply for cattle passports and report movements. It also directed anyone with queries to check the RPA website which may be able to provide general information.
