Strategic Alliance Promises Farmers Faster Insurance
This week one of the UK’s foremost independent and rural insurance company H&H Insurance Brokers (HHIB) formally announced an enhanced partnership with leading underwriters The Rural Insurance Group. From October 7th, agricultural and rural businesses across the North of England and Scotland will benefit from this collaboration, which promises to be a faster, more efficient, bespoke insurance service.
Specialising in all types of agricultural insurance since the late 1980’s, H&H Insurance Brokers are finding that their business is rapidly developing. This is as a result of the increasing and varied challenges facing modern farming from climate change to increased rural crime to the need to diversify their income streams.
Group Managing Director of H&H Insurance Brokers Philip Pagin explains the background to the new partnership:
“In today’s modern times, we are finding that our clients are increasingly ‘time poor’ and require an instant response to their insurance enquiries. Having worked with The Rural Insurance Group for many years, by affiliating with them on a more formal basis, we have access to their customer service system and thereby can provide both competitive yet instant quotes to our rural clients.”
Dean Robertson, Head of Sales & Marketing for Rural Insurance Group commented:
“As a key partner of Rural Insurance and a leading broker in the agricultural insurance sector, we’re obviously delighted to be able to support H&H Insurance in their drive to continually improve their product and service offering to their customers. We look forward to continuing to work with Philip and his team to ensure this new venture gets off to the best possible start.”
HHIB attributes much of its success to the personal client relationships built up over many years and Philip is keen to emphasise this relationship will be both retained and enhanced: “Our company representatives will continue to advise our clients on site to find insurance solutions to meet their requirements. However because the administration procedure will be greatly simplified, we will be able to give them a precise quotation even when we are out on site which will save a considerable amount of time.”
This new partnership marks further growth for H&H Insurance Brokers whose services extend across Scotland, the North East and Yorkshire, the North West and North Wales. In the last two years, the company has increased its workforce by 25% and in addition to its Head Office in Carlisle, it now has two satellite offices in Beeston, Cheshire and Aberdeen, Scotland.
In addition to providing insurance for farm buildings, machinery and livestock, HHIB has in-depth knowledge in several specialist areas including insurance for livestock auction markets, abattoirs and hauliers as well as a product range especially developed diversification projects such as on farm tourism and leisure businesses. Most recently they have developed niches services to advise farmers and landowners on two key areas: installations to create green energy such as wind turbines and biomass boilers and the equine market.
