RPA reminds farmers about changes to pig reporting
The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) is reminding farmers that, as of 1st October the rules around reporting stock movements have changed. Pig keepers should be aware that the amended rules now form part of their cross compliance obligations.
Farmers can now report pig movements online, through a service provided by Bpex, which automatically uploads to the Animal Movement Licensing System. The eAML2 system was introduced to cut red tape and reduce the repetition of filling in paper forms; Defra claims it will save farmers time and money in the long run by facilitating the recording procedure.
