Real farmers sought for down-to-earth advice to farmers

The hunt is on for farmers and farm managers to transform from their careers from advice receivers to advice givers, according to recruitment specialist Max MacGillivray.

“We have clients in the farm business sector who are keen to talk to people with sound, hands-on farm experience, rather than a long list of professional qualifications,” says Mr MacGillivray, managing director of Redfox Executive Selection. “People who have been responsible for the day to day management bring a refreshingly practical approach to both understanding and solving other farmers issues.”

Currently, Redfox is looking to recruit business advisers for a leading East Anglian firm of professionals. The positions will appeal particularly to farm managers looking to develop their careers, or farmers looking for a change of direction in their work. There is also the potential to gain a share of ownership of a business.
