Police donate swag to community farming project
Police in Greater Manchester have donated equipment seized during a raid on a cannabis farm to a community horticulture project. Greater Manchester Police donated 2,000 plant pots and propagation trays seized during a raid on a flat in Oldham to the local community food scheme.
#The Grassroots Community Project, recipients of the police haul, which helps local residents grow their own food, has transformed a previously derelict site into a growing space, with an orchard of 168 fruit trees, two 42-foot long polly tunnels which grow organic produce, bee hives and even chickens and ducks.
Sergeant Paul Archers of Greater Manchester Police, commented, “The Grassroots Community Project have been given plant pots and trays that were confiscated and I am sure they will make good use of them.”
