Polaris set to unveil new vehicle at LAMMA
Polaris Off Road, the global leader in innovation and utility vehicles, is set to give the all-new RANGER 500 its UK debut at the LAMMA show next week (14th–15th January 2026).
Making its first appearance on British soil at the NEC Birmingham, the RANGER 500 is designed specifically to meet the growing demand from UK farmers and landowners for a practical, mid-size utility vehicle that bridges the gap between a traditional quad bike (ATV) and a full-size UTV.
The Polaris stand (17.670) will also feature the all new 2026 RANGER and Sportsman models, including the new Nordic Pro range and the new 2-Up Sportsmans, which have undergone a series of major upgrades.
The RANGER 500 offers a compelling "step-up" for those currently using ATVs who require the added safety and comfort of a cab, the convenience of a cargo bed, and the ability to carry a passenger, all while maintaining a compact footprint and approachable price point.
"We know that many UK farmers are looking for a way to transition from a quad bike to a side-by-side without a massive jump in cost," said Richard Coleby, Polaris Regional Sales Manager for Central Europe.
"The RANGER 500 is the perfect answer. It sits comfortably between our Sportsman ATVs and the RANGER 570 in terms of investment, providing a highly affordable, reliable workhorse that doesn't compromise on the legendary RANGER capability."
Built for the British Farm
The RANGER 500 is engineered for productivity in tight farmyards and across challenging terrain. It is equipped with the Polaris 567cc petrol engine that delivers 28bhp.
Key features include:
- A gas-assist dump box capable of hauling 227kg (500lbs) makes it ideal for moving feed, fencing supplies, or tools, while a 680kg (1,500lb) towing capacity ensures it can handle standard farm trailers.
- Polaris' On-Demand All-Wheel Drive and VersaTrac Turf Mode, which unlocks the rear differential to prevent damage to sensitive grass or paddock areas.
- UK models come with a protective roof and a 1,134kg (2,500lb) winch as standard to help tackle the unpredictable demands of rural work.
- At just 148.6cm (58.5") wide and with 25.4cm (10”) of ground clearance, the RANGER 500 navigates narrow gateways, woodland tracks, and livestock sheds with ease.
The RANGER 500 is expected to officially launch and go on sale across the UK dealer network in late Spring this year. While final pricing is yet to be announced, it will be positioned as Polaris’ most accessible entry into the UTV market, specifically targeted at value-conscious professionals.
Visitors to LAMMA 2026 can see the new RANGER 500 for the first time on the Polaris stand, where experts will be on hand to discuss the vehicle's specifications and the wide range of accessories available to customise the machine for specific agricultural tasks.
Also featured on the stand will be the latest 2026 models which include the new RANGER Nordic Pro range, which come with a complete cab system, in-cab heater and winch as standard, along with the brand new 2-Up Sportsman range with seating for two riders. 2026 also marks the 40th anniversary of the Sportsman ATV.
"LAMMA is the premier event for the UK agricultural industry, and we couldn't think of a better place to give farmers their first look at this machine," added Coleby.
"It’s about giving our customers more choice and providing a tool that is as easy to use as a quad, but with the added utility and comfort of a RANGER."
