In the interests of keeping local residents informed of any developments, the directors of Nocton Dairies have issued the following update on 24 March.

When the application for the dairy was withdrawn, we did not know what the next steps would be. There was no Plan “B”.

Since then we have had further meetings with the Environment Agency and Council to find out what the options are. While none of us knows how circumstances or technology might change in the future, we can confidently say that there is no intention to submit any further application for a dairy farm on the Heath.

There would be an option to look at setting up a dairy on the Fen, but we currently have no plans to do so.

At the moment our intentions are to continue farming the land as an arable operation under the excellent management of Robert Howard and to focus on our businesses at home.
