New NSA Central Region Manager welcomed to strengthen the voice of the UK sheep sector

Activity organised and delivered by the National Sheep Association (NSA) has been strengthened by a recent appointment in NSA Central Region.

Joining the NSA team is Zoe Hatton as Regional Manager. In this role, she will oversee and coordinate activity across the region.

NSA Central Region covers a diverse area of England, incorporating Cheshire, Staffordshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

The nine regions of NSA play a vital role in the organisation’s success, ensuring the views and needs of grassroots farmers are represented across all areas of its work. They also provide valuable opportunities for members to exchange experiences, voice opinions, and access key information through regional events and activities.

Zoe says: “I am really excited to be stepping into the Regional Manager role for NSA Central Region. I’m looking forward to engaging with our current members, building relationships with new ones, and helping to ensure NSA continues to support our farming community.”

Zoe is already active within the sheep farming industry in her area. Alongside this new role, she runs a veterinary clinic with her work partner.

She adds: “The clinic certainly keeps me busy, but outside of work I have my own small flock of Valais Blacknose sheep. My partner calls it ‘faffing’, but I love spending time with them. Lambing season is my favourite time of year. When I do get some spare time, I also enjoy eventing, hunting and shooting.”

NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker comments: “All at NSA are delighted to welcome Zoe into the team. She has already spent some time with staff members at NSA HQ and with several NSA Central Region committee members. We are keen to build on these relationships to ensure even greater support for sheep farmers.”
