Farming News - National Organic Conference 2025

National Organic Conference 2025

The 18th annual National Organic Conference returns in a new format covering two farm walks in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds on Wednesday 11th June 2025.

Organic Farmers & Growers (OF&G), organisers of the UK’s largest organic on-farm event, will be celebrating the best of organic, agroecological, and regenerative agriculture. The event offers a unique opportunity to learn from two leading organic farmers with 50 years of organic experience between them.

Starting at Carr House Farm in Driffield, Tim and Caroline Sellers, along with their daughters, Hester and Jessica, will showcase their 192-hectare organic farm and the Side Oven Bakery, which produces bread from wheat grown, milled and baked on site. Enjoy breakfast and a farm walk with insights into soil management both for health and for carbon, guidance on crop variety selection, and creating better marketing strategies with on-farm diversification.

The event will then move west away from the coast to High Callis Wold at Stamford Bridge. After a delicious locally sourced lunch, Mike and Kate Stringer will help guide visitors through their 345-hectare organic farm business with cropping and livestock enterprises, including suckler cows and breeding ewes. This second farm walk will be rounded off with an afternoon tea.

Steven Jacobs, OF&G’s business development manager and event coordinator, intends that NOC25 will showcase organic system approaches by allowing visitors to see through the eyes of practicing organic farmers, sharing their experiences with people from across the food and farming sector.

“These are two fabulous and yet very different family-run farm businesses which both demonstrate how organic delivers a balanced food and farming system that can benefit everyone – the farmer, the shopper, and our planet,” says Mr Jacobs.

“We want the day to be all about chatting with likeminded individuals, from established organic to regen curious. We want everyone to come together on two of the UK’s most interesting and dynamic farms so we can share great stories, and great food.”
