Livestock farmers wanted to take online survey on future production plans

The NFU urgently need to assess what impacts the situation with Ukraine and input cost increases might have on future beef and sheep production. Knowing this will ensure they are calling for the correct policy interventions and be in a position to explain the production decisions farmers are facing to policy makers.

The NFU are asking beef and sheep farmers to tell them about their production plans for the next couple of years via an online survey.

If you are a beef and/or sheep farmer the NFU are asking that they complete the online Livestock Production Intentions Survey.

It should only take you less than 10 minutes to complete.

The survey will close at 11pm on Sunday 25 September.

Take the survey

The survey aims to capture information on farmers plans to increase or decrease production, or change their farming business – and providing the reasons for this together with key concerns.

The NFU need to understand the intentions of the sector so they can better inform the supply chain and policy-makers to ensure they make decisions that support the British livestock sector.
