Line Up announced for Brexit panel debate at Dairy Tech event

AHDB chairman Sir Peter Kendall and NFU deputy president Minette Batters will take their seats on the Brexit panel debate at Dairy-Tech on Feb 7th, with Barclay’s Oliver McEntyre and RABDF’s Mike King completing the line up.

A topic that has made headlines since the referendum, the debate will take place at 11:25am on the Dairy Hub and will be chaired by RABDF vice chairman Peter Alvis.

Questions will be opened up to the floor giving visitors the chance to ask some of the most prominent industry figures those ever-pressing questions they have on Brexit.

Want to know if we will get a deal?  Will the deal be on current terms or will the UK be at a disadvantage?  What support will there be for UK farmers once we reach 2022? What affects could a ‘no deal’ have on imports and exports?

Mr Alvis says:  “If you’ve asked yourself any of the above questions or have other uncertainties surrounding Brexit this is your chance to get the views of some of our most influential industry bodies on the matter.

“With uncertainty surrounding the future of farming and what exactly Brexit holds, this is a key session to use as an indicator of what we are likely to expect.”

Dairy-Tech will house the latest innovation, technology and concepts available to the industry.  Over 40 new products are being showcased and there are two hubs packed with specialist speakers covering a whole host of key topics and subjects relevant to the sector.  There will also be a number of demonstrations taking place, including automation, drones and hoof trimming.

Tickets for the event are available at www.dairy-tech.uk along with further information.  RABDF members are eligible for free tickets and further concessions whilst all other pre-bought tickets cost £17.  Tickets purchased on the door cost £20.  For any queries contact office@rabdf.co.uk or 02476 639317
