Levy rates to rise for potato growers
The government has approved new levy rates charged to farmers and growers. The new levy rates, which go to fund the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, are the latest in a three-year series of rises.
The new levy rates include a 3 per cent rise in the potato levy, which will rise to £42.62 per hectare for producers growing 3 hectares or more. There are no changes to the AHDB’s five other sectors (beef and lamb, cereals and oilseeds, horticulture, milk and pigs)
