JCB to Make UK Debut of All-Electric Front Loader at Down to Earth South
Organisers of Down to Earth South taking place this week (Wednesday, 21 June) in Somerset, are delighted to host JCB's first UK debut of its all-electric compact wheel loader.
The JCB 403E compact wheel loader will be on display and demo'd at the award-winning event at Neil Baker's dairy farm in Haselbury Plunknett on Wednesday.
Neil is one of Arla's regenerative pilot farms and is focussed on reducing emissions from his herd of 1,800 Holstein cows, already incorporating renewable energy on his farm.
The JCB 403E will be displayed for visitors to see it in action. The model has been developed for various farming enterprises, including livestock farms. It can drive continuously for four hours using its 20 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering the same power as the diesel-powered model JCB 403 Smart Power. However, the electric wheel loader is quieter and free of CO2-emission.
The JCB 403E has an integrated charger, which allows connection to various power sources, has a lifting height of 3.10m and comes with a starting price tag of € 79,900.
Other machinery demos
The event will also host a range of other machinery demonstrations, including the latest seed drills with Aitchison and New Holland's new biomethane tractor.
Down to Earth South organised by the RABDF is not to be missed and is jam-packed with inspiring talks from experts, case studies, drop-in clinics and farm walks throughout the day, allowing visitors to see Neil's incredible farm in action.
So, no matter where you are on your regenerative farming journey, there promises to be something for everyone at Down to Earth. To find out more and to book your tickets, go to www.projectdowntoearth.co.uk
