January's ORFC 2022 moves to an online only event

Organisers have said that it is with heavy hearts that we have taken the decision to move ORFC 2022 entirely online.

Unfortunately, with the rapidly increasing Covid cases and anticipated restrictions over the coming weeks, we feel that an in-person event of this scale at the beginning of January is no longer possible. This means there will not be an in-person ORFC in January.

Everyone who has booked a ticket to ORFC will receive details of how to access the online conference later today, when the full programme will also be published.

Our programme of global sessions will continue as planned, so it’s going to be an incredible online line-up again. With the in-person conference now going online, we will be hosting 500 speakers across 135 sessions!

ORFC tickets

For anyone who has an in-person ticket the difference between your in-person conference ticket and an online conference ticket will be automatically refunded to you. Online tickets are £45 (supporter), £30 (general), £20 (farmer), £10 (bursary).

Please let us know if you would like to opt out of a refund and donate the difference to support ORFC. Thank you so much for your support. Our team is working at capacity to transition to an online conference, so all refunds will be processed after the conference, by the end of January.

Any accommodation or travel expenses must be borne by you unless otherwise previously agreed with ORFC – but we hope that making this difficult decision now will ensure you won’t be out of pocket.

Workshops

Some of the pre-ORFC workshops will move online and still take place on Wednesday, 5th January. These workshops will now be accessible to all online delegates. Check the online programme (which will be published later today, 15th Dec) as we update it over the next week or so, to find more details. All workshop ticket purchases will be fully refunded.

ORFC Dinners

Dinner reservations for Thursday, 6th January were made directly through the restaurants, Vaults & Garden and Wilding Oxford. Please cancel your bookings directly through the restaurants.

Jesus College accommodation

Please cancel your room booking online via the Speedy booker/University Rooms website, as the refunds will need to be processed by this route. Although Jesus College will offer a full refund from their side, there will be an admin fee payable to the agent.

Making changes

Registration is tied to your email address. If you need to change the email address you registered with, or transfer your ticket, please email brittany[at]orfc.org.uk. It’s also a good idea to add info[at]orfc.org.uk to your contacts list so you receive important conference updates, and to make sure our emails don’t end up in your spam folder.

Whilst we are incredibly disappointed not to be able to see you in person, we are really looking forward to hosting another great online ORFC.
