Innovation, technology and practical solutions are highlights of LAMMA’s powerhouse livestock line-up
LAMMA 2026 is gearing up to offer its most comprehensive programme for livestock producers, with award-winning innovations and sector-specific expertise taking centre stage. Taking place on 14-15 January at the NEC Birmingham, the show will once again bring together the latest machinery, technology and practical solutions – including those for beef, dairy and sheep farmers – all under one roof.
Organisers say this edition will be the most extensive yet for livestock businesses looking to boost efficiency, improve welfare and stay ahead of regulation changes.
Philippa Christer, Director of Events at Agriconnect, says that livestock content at LAMMA has grown year on year, reflecting the sector's demand for smarter, more efficient equipment and practical innovation:
"Like the rest of the industry, livestock farmers are under pressure from every direction, from increasing production costs to changes in environmental regulation, and they're eager for solutions they can implement now. This year's line-up delivers exactly that.
"Additionally, innovation in the livestock sector is increasing each year, and LAMMA is where you can see that progress first-hand. We're seeing technologies that cut emissions, protect welfare and streamline routine jobs – and farmers can compare them side by side, speak directly to the innovators and understand how products fit into their own systems.
"Whether it's an improvement in slurry management, safer cow-handling kit, or automation that improves productivity of daily tasks, LAMMA brings it together in one place so producers can compare, question and plan with confidence."
Dairy & Beef Hub: practical answers for real-world farm challenges
The inaugural Dairy & Beef Hub will serve as a dedicated space for farmers to explore ready-to-use solutions, where producers can:
- Meet specialist suppliers offering the latest in handling, feeding, slurry and pasture management
- Hear expert-led sessions on herd health, fertility, youngstock, compliance, labour efficiency and more
- Move directly from the theatre to exhibitor stands to compare kit, ask technical questions and plan improvements for their unit
The programme features respected vets, nutritionists, grazing specialists, farm consultants and on-farm innovators. Many sessions focus on reducing workload, improving safety and adapting to tightening sustainability expectations.
Innovations reshaping livestock farming for 2026 and beyond
This year's LAMMA Innovation Awards showcased a remarkable wave of livestock-related innovations and new products, all of which will be on stand for hands-on discussion.
Award-winning livestock solutions include:
Hanskamp CowToilet
Impressive range of livestock sector exhibitors
In addition to our Innovation Award winners, producers will find a strong line-up of exhibitors unveiling new technology, equipment and infrastructure designed to reduce costs and support more resilient systems.
Leading machinery manufacturers JCB, Massey Ferguson, Case IH, New Holland, Fendt and Valtra are showcasing their best line-ups of tractors, balers, combines and loaders.
Alongside the CowToilet, Hanskamp will showcase its wider automation and cow-flow technology, reflecting rapid growth in labour-saving milking and feeding systems.
Bauer will introduce several new developments including:
- Updated steering software for its slurry tankers to improve manoeuvrability, accuracy and soil protection during application.
- The Rainstar A4 professional irrigator, offering enhanced water efficiency and consistent pasture performance
SlurryKat will showcase their new 24m Premium Plus dribble bar, enabling high-output, low-emission application alongside a new nurse tank for faster, cleaner logistics during umbilical spreading.
But it's not all about machinery - there will also be plenty businesses offering housing, handling and infrastructure solutions. Among these is poultry housing specialist Clarke Group Construction, Clipex fencing and animal handling systems, concrete suppliers Low Grange Concrete, Steel Up building designers and manufacturers, and Teemore Engineering – whose Magellan Rubber flooring won Silver in the 2025 LAMMA Innovation Awards.
Leading distributor Dairy Spares will also have their impressive range of livestock farming products on stand, including brands Milk Bar, Jobe, Betacraft, Drytex and Trusti Tuber. Their team will also be on hand to provide advice and answer questions.
See kit in action in the Demo Zone
For many producers, seeing kit working up close is invaluable for investment decisions. The popular Demo Zone returns with machinery demonstrations that matter to daily livestock operations, including:
- JCB 542-100 Agri PRO telescopic handler: offering power, visibility and reach ideal for feeding, bedding and mucking out
- Can-Am Outlander Electric ATV: a practical, low-noise utility vehicle for stock checks, fencing rounds and general yard duties
Inspiring the next generation of farming professionals
The Future in Farming Zone will highlight the wide range of exciting careers to job seekers and young people from both within and outside of the industry. With labour shortages continuing across livestock sectors, the zone aims to encourage fresh talent and highlight modern, rewarding career pathways.
Visitors can:
- Meet employers and apprenticeship providers
- Get guidance from training bodies and industry experts
- Hear about proposals to expand agriculture education in schools
- Discover how different roles align with their skills and interests
Energy focus at Low Carbon Agriculture
Co-located with LAMMA for the first time, Low Carbon Agriculture also has plenty to offer visitors looking for sustainable energy solutions for their livestock operations with nearly 40 exhibitors. The show's seminar programme includes talks about small-scale anaerobic digestors, grid connection, alternative fuels and integration of solar, battery storage and low-emission tech.
