Improving Resource Management on Livestock Farms

 
Can livestock farmers learn from arable producers when it comes to precision application of farm inputs? An evening meeting being held at Yorkshire Museum of Farming, YO19 5UF on Wednesday 17th February will see experts in precision land management techniques come together to discuss better resource management on livestock farms.
 
Over the evening we will looking at the possibilities for controlled traffic farming, measuring and monitoring grass growth, looking at novel ways of assessing yield potentials and measuring factors that affect production and impact the natural environment as well as an update on measuring nitrogen on grass farms with an N sensor to ensure more accurate application.
 
The meeting starts at 6.30pm with refreshments and light supper on arrival and will finish around 9pm.
