Testing in the US has unearthed some uncomfortable news for hotdog lovers. Testing carried out on 345 sausages from 75 brands and ten retailers has revealed a large amount of unlabelled ingredients and “hygiene issues”, including evidence of chicken and pork meat being found in some vegetarian products, and the presence of human DNA in sausages.
