H&H Group Partners with Cumbria YFC to Support Next Generation of Farmers

H&H Group Announces New Partnership with Cumbria Young Farmers' Clubs to Support the Next Generation of Agriculture in the County

Today's young farmers are tomorrow's agricultural leaders, business owners and custodians of Cumbria's rural economy. Reinforcing its commitment to supporting farming and its associated businesses across the county, H&H Group plc is proud to announce a new partnership with Cumbria Young Farmers' Clubs (YFC).

Under this agreement, H&H will provide use of the Dick Harrison Showhall at Borderway, along with associated security costs, for up to four YFC events per year. The initiative will significantly reduce overheads for Cumbria YFC, allowing more funds to be reinvested directly into supporting its members.

Both H&H and Cumbria YFC are deeply rooted in Cumbria's rural communities, and both organisations share a long-term commitment to the sustainability of the agricultural sector. By providing access to the Showhall for events, H&H is removing a major cost barrier that can otherwise limit the number of large-scale events Cumbria YFC is able to host. Fundraising income is essential to keeping membership accessible and ensuring the organisation remains sustainable for future generations.

In addition to venue support, the partnership will encourage greater affiliation and links between the two organisations. H&H staff will be invited to assist at YFC events in volunteer roles such as judging and stewarding, while YFC members will have opportunities to engage with H&H-led events and gain valuable experience in large-scale event delivery.

Speaking on behalf of H&H Group, Richard Rankin, CEO, said, "Collaborating with Cumbria Young Farmers is a natural fit for H&H. This partnership means that more of the funds raised through YFC events can be directed back into opportunities for young people across the county.

We are proud to support an organisation that contributes so much to the strength and continuity of our rural communities."

Representing 25 clubs across the county, Young Farmer Clubs provide young people with opportunities to develop skills, build confidence and form lifelong connections within their rural communities.

Responding to the partnership, Abigail Graham, County Chair of Cumbria YFC, said, "We are delighted and extremely grateful for this commitment from H&H Group. The offer of the Dick Harrison Showhall, along with the included security costs, is a fantastic contribution and will really help us with our fundraising efforts.

Please pass on our sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this possible."
