Haith’s Handling Solutions To Take Centre Stage At Fruit Logistica
Haith will promote its most recent packhouse and food processing innovations at next month's Fruit Logistica (5 – 7 February, Belin).
The UK's leading vegetable handling equipment manufacturer will put the spotlight on its latest box handling range, which includes the QuantaFill box filler and QuantaTip automatic electric rotary box tippler on stand A-21 in hall 4.1.
Haith has developed both machines in response to the growing trend of food producers, packers and processors moving to a box system as they look to maintain crop quality but operate more quickly. This is where the QuantaFill is a perfect fit, as it allows operators to fill boxes at 50 tons per hour or more.
The additional box-handling functionality offered by the QuantaFill allows the operator to place stacks of empty boxes into the machine. The boxes are then automatically de-stacked and transported to the filling module. After filling, the boxes are re-stacked for the operator to remove from the line in pairs, drastically reducing forklift movements.
Along with the QuantaFill, Haith will focus on its QuantaTip, which is designed for larger packhouses. Introduced in 2024, the QuantaTip can tip and restack two boxes simultaneously. Featuring the same tipping system as Haith's award-winning RotaTip, users of the QuantaTip benefit from the machine's box management system, which reduces forklift movements, saves them time, and gently handles the crop.
Haith will also use Fruit Logistica to highlight one of its most popular products—the patented Root-Veg Polisher. Now in its fourth generation, Haith's Root-Veg Polisher offers a wide range of brush options and easy maintenance.
"Fruit Logistica is one of the most important events of the year for us, and we are very much looking to returning to Berlin," says Haith sales manager Rob Highfield. "With many growers, packers and processors looking to increase their efficiencies and do more with less, we have seen considerable interest in our latest innovations, such as the QuantaFill, and we expect, this will continue next month at Fruit Logistica."
