Growhow to rebrand as CF Fertilisers UK

The UK’s largest fertiliser manufacturer GrowHow is to rebrand as CF Fertilisers UK Ltd

Farmers will start to see the new brand, CF Fertilisers UK Ltd, at events, on orders and emails and the company website from early November.

The change follows Growhow’s acquisition by CF Fertilisers; the American company bought the remaining 50 percent share in the company from Norwegian fertiliser giant Yara in July.

David Hopkins, previously sales director at CF Industries’ headquarters in Chicago, USA, has been made managing director of the UK business.

Commenting on the switch, David said, “Farmers rely on our teams at Ince and Billingham because of the great service and excellent product quality we have provided for years. As CF Fertilisers UK, our focus remains on our farmer customers and how to improve the value we offer them each day.

“CF Fertilisers UK will continue to invest in and manufacture at both Ince and Billingham so that we efficiently produce the market-leading fertilisers that farmers rely on to optimise crop performance and yields. And we’ll continue to advise our farmers about how to use our products in the most efficient way possible.

“We’re very excited about the opportunities ahead to work with British farmers to meet all their fertiliser needs."

The company employs 600 people at its head office and production facilities in Ince, Cheshire, and Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees.

In July, CF CEO Tony Will said the acquisition of Growhow would give the company “An advantaged position in an import-dependent region.”
