Getting ready for a post-Brexit market place
Bookings are now open for the 2017 AHDB Grain Market Outlook Conference, which this year is a vital chance for the cereals and oilseeds industry to prepare for a post-Brexit world.

The conference on 11 October in London will be the most domestically focused in AHDB's history. With papers exclusively from AHDB experts, the theme of the conference is preparing for the implications of Brexit, looking at the home issues that Brexit presents.

Jack Watts, AHDB Lead Analyst, said: “We expect to see further domestic volatility, on top of what we’ve seen emanating from the UK market, for example, with currency movements.

“During this year's Grain Market Outlook Conference we will be examining impact scenarios of Brexit at national, sector and farm levels in terms of output, income and structure.

“Finally, we will start the conversation on the detailed impact of tariffs on different crops grown in the UK.”

The Grain Market Outlook conference complements AHDB’s broader work on preparing the industry for the world after Brexit which includes the series of Horizon documents and the work of the volatility forum.

The conference this year takes place at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, WC2B 5DA
