FUW looks forward to Vale show as hub for farming matters

The Glamorgan team of the Farmers’ Union of Wales is looking forward to a busy Vale Show on Wednesday 9 August.

The Vale show regularly attracts over 20,000 people from various backgrounds. The Show has grown considerably over the years and is now the largest one day event in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Alongside the livestock and horse showing, there are more than 200 Trade Stands on the field showcasing the wide reach of agriculture and farming. The FUW is proud to support the event and highlight to members, the public visiting the show and politicians why farming matters more than ever and what must be achieved if there are to be thriving, sustainable, family farms in Wales.

Speaking ahead of the event, FUW Glamorgan county executive officer Sharon Pritchard said:

“The Vale show is a pinnacle event for us here in Glamorgan and provides an excellent opportunity to showcase why farming matters.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to the show and engaging with our politicians here too. Union officials and staff are on hand to discuss the many farming matters that have a profound impact on the agricultural industry.”
