Frontier wins Camgrain business ending Openfield relationship

Grain company Camgrain, has appointed Frontier Agriculture as its principle marketing, distribution and strategic partner, ending its ten year relationship with Openfield.

Following a ‘wide ranging review’, Camgrain is to part-company with Openfield from July next year.

Speaking on behalf of Openfield, who is Britain’s largest farmer owned arable crop marketing business, James Dallas, Chief Executive said: “Given this clear strategic aim, we are disappointed not to be reappointed to market grain on behalf of Camgrain after 10 years of successful collaboration between two farmer-owned businesses.  Over this period we believe that we have made a significant contribution to the development and growth of the Camgrain business.”

“We have been proud to support the Camgrain members in the successful development and growth of their business and we remain firmly committed to collaborative marketing which we believe maximises value return to the farmer member and delivers secure and sustainable supply routes to market in collaboration with our consumer customers.”

“We will continue to work with like-minded businesses, farmers and central storage partners to promote British agriculture both in the UK and overseas.”
