The National Farmers Union has launched a fodder bank scheme to help UK farmers with surpluses and shortages of cattle feed and bedding. The union is encouraging farmers across the country to take advantage of the service to appeal for stocks or list what they have to sell.

The listings are usually made on a regional basis, although farmers can check other regions’ listings if they cannot find what they are looking for in their own. This is the fourth year the free online service has run for; the scheme has proven a great success. For more information on the service, available to NFU members, click here.
