First shipment of 2011 Oilseed Rape crop leaves UK shores

Dalmark Grain is proud to confirm that for the second year running, they have loaded the first of 2011’s Oilseed Rape harvest for export. The MV ANTARI loaded 2,400 tonnes of East Anglian rape at Agrilink, Kings Lynn.

John Martin, Trading Director at Dalmark, says: “Our commitment to growers is to provide prompt collection of oilseed rape at harvest and by organising these early shipments means that we are able to achieve this.”

“Emmelev from Denmark, who bought the shipment were pleased with the early availability and hopefully they will come back for more later in the season. Mr Martin continues to say: “Yields seem to have been better than expected given the dry spring, with some varieties such as Vision, performing particularly well.”

“In addition to export sales, we can also offer our growers very attractive storage contracts for those looking to market their grain later in the year avoiding harvest price pressure.”
