Fire at Truro Cattle Market
A fire at Truro’s Cattle Market late last night was initially believed to be arson.
Fire crews from Truro and Falmouth were called out at 11.30pm and found rubbish in the corner of a single-storey cattle market dairy to be well alight.
Arson was initially suspected and police officers were called, but after further investigation the fire was found to be accidental.
The crews stayed for a while to damp down the area and make sure the fire was fully out before leaving.
Engineers from Western Power also arrived, to isolate the power.
The building was then left in the hands of the security company that oversees it.
