Fevara strengthens UK portfolio with exclusive LithoNutri distribution
Fevara plc has expanded its livestock nutrition portfolio with the introduction of a fifth product pillar, introducing buffers, following a new agreement to bring LithoNutri to market across Great Britain and Ireland.
The move marks a significant step in Fevara’s strategy to provide more integrated, performance-led and sustainable nutrition solutions for livestock producers, says Charlie Battle, Fevara Country Manager.
“This important addition to our portfolio helps us deliver on the growing demand we’re seeing from farmers for more sustainable, naturally derived inputs that will help optimise livestock performance.”
LithoNutri is a natural rumen buffer derived from calcified marine algae, Charlie explains.
“Importantly, these marine minerals are responsibly harvested from renewable sources, supporting a more sustainable approach to modern livestock production that we are all focused on.
“What’s key is the mode of action due to LithoNutri’s distinctive microporous, honeycomb structure which allows for a gradual, sustained release of buffering capacity in the rumen. So, rather than delivering a quick, short-lived correction, it’s able to help maintain a more consistent and stable rumen pH throughout the day.”
LithoNutri will be marketed through the Fevara trade team, offering trade and retail customers another valuable product in their armoury.
Charlie adds: “The addition of LithoNutri enhances our ability to support farmers in managing rumen health, improving feed efficiency and maintaining performance. With pressure on margins, input costs and sustainability expectations, the product offers a natural alternative to traditional buffering agents while supporting milk yield and growth rates for dairy and beef farms.”
By integrating LithoNutri into its portfolio, and adding a fifth product pillar, Fevara is broadening its offering to merchants, distributors and farm customers. The product complements existing brands including Crystalyx®, Tracesure® and the Scotmin range, enabling a comprehensive nutritional approach across different farm systems.
LithoNutri will be available through the established merchant and trade network, with technical support and on-farm guidance provided as part of Fevara’s integrated customer offering.
