Granular urea

• Globally, prices have firmed as the prospect of increased demand has improved.
• An imminent Indian tender and a moderate increase in Europe due to seasonal demand is helping to support the market.
• In the UK, urea remains on offer below replacement value. On a cost-per-unit basis it works out exceptionally well priced compared with other sources of nitrogen.

Ammonium nitrate

• GrowHow has released prices for delivery through until December. Given the tightening AN market, those able to take tonnes now are likely to benefit.
• Imported AN has traded sideways as importers continue to clear stocks. However, once these have been moved, prices will firm in line with European pricing.
