The new design is intended to help navigation by making better use of space, a key feature of the design process in order to accommodate high levels of content.

The main intention was to save user time by reducing the number of clicks required between key content items (weather, prices & news) to just one.

Farming Online provides the UK's only exclusively online commercial portal for farmers having established in 1995 as a leading internet service provider and information provider.

Chairman Bob Wilson said, "this is one of many changes this year following an e-mail service upgrade in May to allow smart phone access, the development of the CropMonitor smart phone app and now the new website design".  Bob added “we hope to have another major smart phone app launched in the coming weeks to benefit livestock farmers” which marks the end of a busy year, but the beginning of many more developments.
