Farming Minister Daniel Zeichner to attend next week’s NSA Sheep Event
The flagship event of the National Sheep Association (NSA) will open its gates next week offering visitors from across the UK and beyond the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic day out at one of the country's only sheep industry focussed events.
Taking place at its usual home of the Three Counties Showground, Worcestershire, on Tuesday 30th July, the event will boast several new attractions in addition to the well known and enjoyed line up of seminars, workshops, demonstrations, competitions and more than 250 sheep and wider agricultural breed societies and trade stands.
NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker says: The countdown is almost over to NSA Sheep Event 2024. As always, the day will provide a fantastic opportunity for sheep farmers to come together for a useful day away from the farm, meeting with industry experts as well as farming friends at an enjoyable day out."
NSA Sheep Event 2024 is pleased to welcome several familiar faces from farming social media to meet and discuss the sector with the farming audience in a fun agri-influencer forum as well as highly regarded industry experts who will be ready to pass on their knowledge in interactive workshops or to lead discussion in the ever popular seminar tent.
From the launch of the new, highly anticipated NSA Sustainability Report to discussions on future markets and trade, the 2024 seminar line up will cover the key topical issues facing the sector with activity in the seminar tent kicking off with a conversation with new Farming Minister Daniel Zeichner who will be joining NSA at Sheep Event 2024 as one of his first appointments since the general election.
Mr Stocker continues: "We are all very much looking forward to welcoming Minister Zeichner to the event and in typical NSA style, we will not shy away from ensuring the issues affecting the sector are top of the list of discussion topics."
The NSA Breakfast Club featuring Minister Zeichner will open proceedings at the event at 9am with an interested audience expected to fill the NSA seminar tent.
Mr Stocker adds: "I'd encourage anyone with an interest in the future of the sector to join us in this session to ask their questions, whether that be on future farming policy, external threats to the industry, or simply to get up to date with the latest industry developments."
With the event taking place during the school summer holidays further attractions this year will ensure the whole family can enjoy a great day out. Children's competitions, mini tractor school, sheepdog displays, cookery demonstrations and more will help to keep everyone in the family entertained, no matter their age.
NSA members enter NSA Sheep Event for free on presentation of a current membership card. Tickets for non members are now available to buy online at an advanced rate of £22.50, available until 11.55pm on Sunday 28th July. Those aged under 16 can enter NSA Sheep Event for free.
